I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen, working within the POLITSOLID ERC project at the Institute of Political Science. My work bridges behavioral economics and political science, focusing on two main research areas:
1. Experimental Behavioral Economics
As a highly skilled experimental researcher, I specialize in studying complex trading mechanisms and their impact on decision-making in markets and other environments. My research investigates how these mechanisms influence individual behavior, risk preferences, and overall market efficiency.
2. Polarization and Social Behavior
I also focus on polarization and its effects on people’s behavior, particularly in workplace settings. My research explores how polarization impacts efficiency, how individuals may hide or avoid knowing each other’s identities, and the broader implications for team dynamics and organizational performance.
My current project delves into information avoidance, a puzzling phenomenon where individuals prefer to remain uninformed, even when it contradicts rational decision-making. Specifically, I am interested in how information avoidance interacts with affective polarization, where people discriminate against those holding opposing political views. This research aims to understand the underlying mechanisms that drive such behaviors and their consequences for social cohesion.
Feel free to contact me for collaborations or inquiries into my research.
